There really is no substitute for an objective well-written, detailed news story, and, every once in a while, one gets published. Outside of local news, most American newspapers rely on one organization, the Associated Press, to cover current events. While there is nothing wrong with that, it can be useful to see how international events are being covered by other news organizations or newspapers, especially when the news happens in their own bakyard.While this list is certainly not exhaustive, or the sources necessarily objective or reliable, it can serve as a starting point for further discovery. At last check, all of the sites were free, although one or two also have subscriber-only sections. Some of the sites may require registration.
